New ISO TC 204 WG 18 on co-operative systems, working “in tandem” with CEN TC 278 WG16

The Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) has announced that the new ISO TC 204 Working Group 18, “Co-Operative Systems”, is set to be “working in tandem” with CEN TC278 WG16, “Co-Operative Systems”. This is following the joint meeting of ISO TC 204 WG 16, “CALM”, and CEN TC 278 WG 16, “Co-operative Systems”, as reported in the December 2009 Newsletter.

German company, ESF GmbH, have editorial input into several CALM standards. On their website they say that “Further on, CEN TC278 WG 16 and ISO TC 204 WG 18 [will] jointly develop application standards for ITS, based on the well established procedures between these two TCs. (17/12/2009)”
